It would be very useful but on the other hand, if it were easily accessible, there's nothing to stop the determined faker from copying e.g. Ligne 1, 2 and ' D ', Gatsby, Urban, models have hand-stamped serial numbers, not machined. St dupont lighter serial number. Ligne 2 models & using genuine corresponding serial numbers on them. ST Dupont may have a record of all the lighters they've produced.
